does the shower head have a shut off valve? Sloan AC-11-2.5 Act-O-Matic Shower Head, 2.5 GPM, Chrome Plated, Self-cleaning with Thumb Screw Volume Control

Our shower head is leaking and a plumber thought it was the temp control piece that was causing the problem. He replaced it and it is still leaking. (actually more!). We were thinking if we could shut off the shower head directly we might be able to stop the leak. Also, if it doesn't help can we return it? We need to buy 2.
