The Xlerators purchased through ProDryers have a pre-installed 1.1 Noise Reduction Nozzle. This decreases the decibel rating by 9 decibels outright, and allows for high-low range with the adjustable motor. There is a speed/sound control motor inside the dryer that can be adjusted and set to your preference (ranging from high-low). Per Excel, below is their breakdown of the sound control range with the pre-installed Noise Reduction Nozzle:
Approximate sound values with hands 4" away from the nozzle:
High: 89.5 dB
Med: 82 dB
Low: 78.5 dB
